London Midland offers free seat reservations on their Birmingham to Liverpool services and London Midland can also arrange these if you are planning to travel on the services of another train operator who offer the facility. You can do this with at least 1 working day’s notice. Please ask us to arrange these reservations for you when you buy your ticket. If you reserve a seat on one of their trains and are unable to sit in it, their on-train staff will help you find another seat. If you have reserved a seat and had to stand for all or part of your journey London Midland will offer you National Rail vouchers of 50% of the cost of that part of the journey. These offer a quick and easy way of buying a wide range of tickets (but please note, not all, which may negate some discount-card benefits for example), with a credit card, debit card or cash without having to queue at the ticket office. With 1 working day’s notice London Midland are able to provide assistance to passengers with restricted mobility or additional access requirements at all staffed stations along their routes. There are designated car parking spaces available for blue badge holders at all the station car parks London Midland manage. Wherever possible, portable ramps will be provided at their stations and staff assistance given at departure, interchange and arrival stations. All of their frontline staff and managers receive training in disability awareness. their trains have space for wheelchair users and their companions within the passenger saloon and many of their longer-journey trains also have accessible toilets. The locations of wheelchair spaces are clearly indicated by signage on the outside of the train doors. Ramps will be carried by many of their trains to assist access and egress from their services. Catering trolleys are provided on a number of their longer distance services. The trains which offer this service are clearly marked in their timetables and if London Midland are unable to provide catering on any of the designated services, London Midland will tell you before you board the train where possible. If the train you are on is delayed by more than 60 minutes, London Midland will provide free non-alcoholic refreshments (where available) while stocks last. London Midland also seek to ensure that there is an excellent range of catering outlets available at their larger stations.
London Midland welcomes cycles on its services and conveys them free of charge, provided it is safe to do so. However, London Midland are unable to accommodate cycles at their busiest times on trains arriving in London Euston between 07.00 and 09.59 and departing from London Euston between 16.00 and 18.59 on Mondays to Fridays (excluding Bank Holidays). Cycles must be removed from their designated wheelchair spaces if a passenger using a wheelchair wishes to use them. Folding bicycles can be taken on their trains at any time, provided they are folded down, but tandems and three-wheeled vehicles cannot be accommodated on any London Midland services. London Midland are continuously working with Local Authorities and Network Rail to increase the number of cycle-friendly schemes at their stations and to increase the number of locations with secure cycle storage facilities.
